A team of expert clinicians and researchers, led by IamGSD President Dr. Stacey Reason, has developed internationally agreed Clinical Practice Guidelines for GSD V (McArdle disease) and GSD VII (Tarui disease).

These systematically developed guidelines now outline diagnostic and management recommendations for these two conditions. The paper is anticipated to run to 13 pages in print, plus a supplementary file of 5 appendices running to 18 pages which will be available online.

Accepted by journal

Publication of these guidelines has been accepted by Neuromuscular Disorders, the official journal of the World Muscle Society. It is hoped that the Guidelines will be published before the end of 2021.

The paper and its supplementary material will have Open Access, and thus be available free of charge to both clinicians and patients.
